LMC and SMC from Jimna State Forest

Hi all,

Here's a quick widefield shot of the Magellanic Clouds taken at about 4:20 am from Jimna State Forest on a recent camping trip.

The sky was great, and I've posted a little report in the Observations Forum.

Cheers,
Stephen

That's a beauty Steve, very well framed with the trees in the foreground, It has that nice widefield appeal, well done indeed.

Now that is a dark site! If I included trees from my site they'd be overexposed!

Good to see these two together again. I miss them during the cooler months.
Stephen, if you though Jimna was dark, you should come along to the next Barambah camp and take in some very dark skies.
