Thanks Glen,
I not long ago purchased the southern & Northern atlas's. I hope thier still selling the Field Guide when I can next find the funds to make that purchase. Great Atlas's!
I ordered my copies online from Bintel, they have them in stock
Fantastic resource, well worth money, full set costs well over $300, as much as a good eyepiece, but definitely worth it, I have found dozens of DSO's that would be impossible to locate otherwise.
I have the complete set too, 2000 epoch edition. Vol 1 & 2 brought from
Sirius Optics @ Astrofest QLD. And Vol 3 the field guide through Bintel
Sydney. It's a must have! especially if you have or intend to get into mid
to large aperture scopes. I dont usually use it in the field, I used it more
as a reference. To important and expensive to let it absorb dew.
The whole set has 220 maps. Each takes up two pages, and they are a large format book. There are 110 maps in each of Vol 1 and 2 (there is some overlap) Volume 3 is basically an index of all the DSO's and is much thicker again.
