Dome sizing

Folks,
Just wondering what size dome I would need. Sure, I'd like a 6 metre jobby, but the missus would prefer a 1:10 scale model.
I want to be able to house the 12" Newt on an EQ mount with enough space to move around. I don't need to house computers etc, as this is all in the shed very close by.
Can anyone recommend a suitable size dome, or comment on what they have?

Cheers,
Jason.

Hi Jason, it will depend on what F ratio the 12" is going to be. An F5 - 6 would fit okay in a 3 metre ID dome okay. If you want room for extra people then 3 metres could get a bit crowded.

You will also have to work out how tall you want the wall to be that supports the dome. Some domes go to the ground and some sit on a wall.

All the best.
