NGC 6726 et al - colour added

Well I managed to gather some RGB data although I ended up with only half the green data I needed (a mere 45 mins) because the clouds rolled back in and stayed . I went ahead and processed it anyway and it doesn't look bad at all!

Full frame - small:

Crop - small:

As always you can see the full sized versions by clicking on "original" at the bottom of the screen.

Cheers, Marcus

Hmmm? rather spectacular that Marcus....

I think it was the plentiful Lum that saved you, not having much RGB is not that big a deal really.

Beautiful area huh? That's three great shots of it recently too.

Thanks guys - glad you liked it. The native FL of the Tak gave a very pleasing framing but I like the crop best.

Thanks mate! Yep, it sure is a beautiful field - the juxtaposition with the glob is very cool I think!. Anyway, I needed some more blues in my portfolio! ...... damn clouds ... <mumble - curse>

There are critiques I could make, then again I'd be complaining about
Cindy Crawford (pictured) having a mole.

Marcus,

I haven't got to the astro photo yet, wouldn't know how good it was. But what I can tell you is that Cindy isn't hurtin' ugly

Cheers,

its not a critique as i realize its unfinished.

i had a play and fiddled with the color, trying to have a stab at what it might look like with the extra color added.

your image is just oozing detail. it was a lot of fun.

Well tha's a first I think..? Most people who take it apon themselves to fiddle with the images of others thinking they know best make a cok-up of it but that is indeed an improvement Clive, nice huh Marcus?

Hmmm, the one on the left is yours right? The one on the right looks like my version. Edit: I see you've increased the green and reduced the red but not sure I like it. Post the whole frame and let's see. I did have a version that had the histograms lined up nicely but I didn't like it - preferred more red and I hate any sign of a green cast. I do like your version of the glob though - I neglected it and have now improved it I think.

Nah ... if it's the version on the left, on my CRT the colour looks insipid. The one on the right (with more the vibrant colour) looks like my version. Edit: I went back and improved (I think) the glob a bit - looks less like a blue doughnut now!

Cheers, Marcus

yeah you got me i used a blend of 80% or so the color of mine over the luminance of yours. it started off just for me to see just how yours and mine lined up. Then i wanted to see how much more detail yours had than mine ( heaps) . then i figured i had some green to lend a friend.

(i did ask before i posted as it can be annoying to some people)

Your image surpasses mine, it was fun though.

Oh Clive, that's cheating! . You are supposed to just manipulate the colour of mine - not use your own colour!

In any case it is fun to do and I have no problem if people want to download my images to look at or use (= play with) privately as long as you're above board about it as you have been. Moreover, I post my images at full res so people can enjoy them!

Cheers, Marcus

Your colours are spectacular and really, it needs nothing more.

You've captured this, one of my favourite objects excellently.

Very well done indeed

Rich
