I just got my 30D modded by Eric (ezystyles). Thanks Eric.

Anyway, my question is this - how awesome is that?

I'm holding back my feelings of awe until I see some results. New moon this weekend?

I know. That's why I had to ask the question. Haven't been able to try it out. Stupid real-life getting in the way of fun astro-life.

Gimme a chance this weekend. Puh-leeeeze.

Congrats Troy. You must be itching to use it.

Hopefully the weather gods are forgiving enough to allow you to have first light this weekend.

Can't wait to see the results.

When I loom over some of my old images taken with my unmodded 300d, and then my modded 350d its chalk and cheese. Although the modding is to increase the H alpha red light sensitivity, it seems to let more light in of all colours, as the standard canon IR cut filter has a very gently slope and seems to block small amounts of light further towards the blue end too. My modded 350d is even more sensitive than my newer unmodded 450D that I use for daylight photography now.
