I didnt, thanks for the heads up. Ive set mine to prompt me rather than disable.

I recall once years ago in icq chat program someone was able to read my clipboard. I have no idea how they did it. It pays to be vigilant when it comes to security.

The IE problem is that the default settings arent very secure.

Sorry to ask, but what's clipboard and how do I find it? Is it the 'Favourites' Tab? I am on IE.

if you go to the link posted by vindictive666 and follow the instructions, you can test it out...clipboard is the space where you save anything that you have copied with a Copy command or a "Control C"

Ken, best advise is...... get Firefox (browser) & Thunderbird (email), & ditch IE & OE. Much, MUCH safer. Now that you're getting/have a new pooter!
Just use IE for up-dates. L.

Laurie, we have been through this 2 or 3 months ago.
I switched to Firefox: Too slow and some sites won't even open. I still have it connected but I don't like using it.

In the 2 - 3 months this new pooter has been on IE & OE I have not picked up any viruses, bots, pop-ups or anything else. Why change.

Why change you say?? Because it's EVIL I tells ya. Be rid of that IE WE whatever-E(xplorer) demon and make friends with the 100% free offerings of mozilla.org, comrade.

(Or go against the tide like I do and use something else entirely...)
