Ruddies Contribution

Alas I have failed to support my country will I be classed as unpatriotic

My stimulus has gone towards supporting the US economy by buying

1. Some nice gear from ADM, counterweight etc for my new RC
2. A new 2" helical focuser for my 10x60 Stellarvue finder from Stellarvue

and I'm tossing up to buy a CCD camera and I can't choose between an ATIK, Image Source or QHY

Oh I love too spend on toys but there are too many choices for this little boy

Lucky we don't have astronomy mega stores offering blockbuster sales I'd be first in line credit card in hand and watch out anyone that got in my way when the door opened.

I know I'm addicted

I wouldn't call you unpatriotic, If Ruddy's government didn't make to expensive for Aust Standard (AS) compliance there would be a lot more stuff available in Aus.

Maybe (doubt it) Ruddy would realise this, then this country would be in a much better position.

Last government didn't do much good either.

I would also consider buying overseas if it where cheaper as well, although i won't get something that i would suspect to breakdown in a short time, I would rather pay that little more.

Some of my Rudd money went to buy my first telescope, and I did the right thing and stimulated the local ecomony (York Optical). But I'm afraid this intial purchased has kick started a hobby which like you guys, has lead me to purchasing gear from overseas and stimulating the US!

Now if only there was another stimulus package! Oh the stuff I could buy! How long until it's tax return time?

I didn't have much choice but to support the local economy. Two wisdom teeth had to go and the dental surgeon charged $995 for 30 minutes work (followed by 5 days of pain). Ouch all round.
