NGC253, Saturn nebula,NGC246, 47 Tuc

Hi all
Great minds think alike, with Paul , myself, and others doing imagine in Sculptor of late.
After watching the Tigers win the footy grand final (yay) I couldnt resist the urge to set up the scope. The night was unusual in that the seeing was quite steady and the sky in suburban Wallsend was as dark as ive seen for some time. The histogram on the images indicated darker skies than usual
NGC253,
[IMG]http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=4919&st c=1
1 x 10 and 1 x 15 mins ISO 400,Lumicon Coma Corrector (borrowed from a mate), stacked in photoshop with gradient exterminator plugin applied.
Saturn nebula,
[/IMG]http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=4920&st c=1
1 x 120 sec ISO 200
NGC246
[IMG]http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=4921&st c=1
1 x 15 and 1 x 20mins ISO 1600 with Baader UHCS and the coma corrector. The warm night and long exposures at high ISO meant lost of noise that couldnt be fully removed with subtracting a dark frame in Photoshop.
47 Tuc,

1 x 200 secs ISO 200, with coma corrector.

Nice shots Scott

like the saturn nebula image in particular-this is not the easiest of objects. I observed this through John's 10 inch and an O III filter from Kulnura on Saturday.

Funnily enough I too imaged 253 last night, though with an ED 80. Havent got around to processing it yet

Awesome images Scott, I saw NGC246 in Hector on Saturday night through my DGM Optics NPB filter, and it was just brilliant.

The shot of 47Tuc looks really sharp, really pinpoint stars. Nice job.

Many thanks all.
After the footy I wasnt too keen for a late night but one object led to another with the good skies at the time too good to miss

Nice shots Scott, thanks for the exposure details as well. Like asimov it's been hard to get any viewing down here because of the weather.

Beautiful... Ohh for some clear skies!! We've had cloud for a month. And this current new moon cycle looks like it's gonna be a wash out..
I particulary like your saturn neb. That one is lovely.
Cheers

Thanks all.
It first I wasnt even going to do anything that night, but turned out conditions were very good. Low cloud and humidity settled in now though.

Just my luck.

I finally get a ToUcam today and what happens? The sky has turned to muck! It has been lovely weather all day. Typical!

Nice pics Scott!

Yep it was a great night at the time for imaging, looks like weather not so nice for a while now, if its clear in next few days might do some early morning stuff before moon interferes.
