Steel pier manufacture in Brisbane area?

Hi all,

I was after someone or steel fabrication buisiness in the greater Brisbane/Gold coast area that someone could recommend that could weld me up a pier for my new observatory thats going to be built in the next few months.

It will need it to hold my 12 inch LX200R. I have thought about trying some local steel workshops but would rather go on someone's recommendation if they know anyone or buisiness that has done this type of work before.

I like the look at the pier sold by Bintel but at over 1100 bucks feel its a bit pricey. I would be much more happy if I coud keep the price well under this.
I also thought of Southercross piers but a friend of mine told me that they are not making piers anymore.
Any sujestions ,

Regards Matt.

Matt

I don't have an answer just yet, but I am currently going through the same process. I have been put onto a small business out at Ferny Hills. I am going to see him next week.

When I get some details concerning what he can do, I will let you know.

I have already seen a guy on the Gold Coast who has some knowledge in the area (and he has given me some good advice so far) but he says he is to busy at the moment to help me.
