Upgrading to 14"-16"

I currently have a 10" dobsonian and i want to upgrade to a 14" to 16" does anyone know of anyone one who sells these size scope at a reasonable price i dont want one for to much i know i wont get one cheep but i dont want to speed a heap of money any ideas?

At the bottom of the market you only really have the Meade Lightbridge and the GSO strut. With the current exchange rate, they will be around $3,000 plus shipping. Put a WANTED ad in the thread below and see what happens. I reckon some 16" lightbridges might be available. But they won't be cheap and don't forget shipping costs- they are BIG!

if you can hold on for a little while ... the Skywatycher 14" dob is jsut around the corner.

If you already have a 10" I would be going for a 16" to get a really significant upgrade which probably restricts you to the GSO/Meade offerings.

agreed.

Optically the GSO and Meade are the same scope, although for some reason, the Meade is usually slightly less expensive
