Last two days cloud in the morning then around 4:30pm I'm out and about as I'm having a flexi today and there's still some lingering cloud so I thinks no setting up tonight.

Come home cook tea the go outside around 6:30 dark by now but not a cloud to be seen did the same last night.

I had the opposite up here in Gero Tues. Set up around 3.30 as it was looking good. Had everything up and tested. 6:30, in came the clouds
Been on a trip to Perth the last 2 days and I'll bet its been clear up here. Too tired to have a go tonight.

There was a funny side though. My daughter had never seen my setup with all the cables, laptops, scopes and camera's and she was laughing. "My Dad, the Astronomy Geek"

Finished up dinner, went outside about 8:30 and it was clear.
So I set up the DOB out back and had a browse at Omega Centauri, NGC 4945, the Jewel Box, the Leo triplet and Sombrero while waiting for the telescope to cool down properly. Then tried to find galaxy NGC 3596 near theta Leonis but too much skyglow. Found galaxy NGC 3377 near 52 Leonis but again couldn't see NGC 3367 near the same star.
Then wouldn't you know it, the clouds rolled in.
So, I'm back in here on IIS.
Commiserations, Rob.

Jen. I'm a little bit confused by the "arrhhhhhhh".

Are you trying to get a part in the Pirate of Penzance, or are you now wanting to doing pirate impersonations of Johnny Depp?

I.e. Should we now get out the 'Jolly Roger'?

Pieces of eight, pieces of eight, pieces of eight...
