Losmandy G11 and guiding

I have an older G11 and I'd like to use one of the new "cheap" guiders. Do I just use the connection for the hand controller to connect the guider to the scope? Also do I need to use some kind of relay between the mount and guider? (optocoupler?)
Thanks
Rick

Rick - Yes, that's correct. Get (or make) yourself a 1:1 splitter so that you can plug both the hand controller and ST-4 compatible cable from your guide camera (or GPUSB) into that one port on the Digital Drive panel at the same time. No optocoupler required.

Thanks Chris. Now I'll start saving my pennies for the guider. I just bought a lunt 60mm solar scope so my wife might not be to happy with another purchase just now. She pointed out to me that our new riding lawn more cost less than the scope :>)
