I took a series of shots last night - and just missed the rain. This is a 30 minute shot (guided) from a C9.25 into a Canon 400D. I'll have to read up more on registax - cause when I stacked over 2 hours worth of shots the colour really faded - whereas this shot had better fidelity.
Its been processed in photoshop (levels, curves and Gaussian blur on the nebula). So enjoy a shot from light drenched Sydney!
PS
I have found choosing say three targets a night, is giving much better results, and am pretty happy with the tracking and guiding now. The goto on wake up was pretty much spot on after 2 months of no use whilst I was interstate. Happy to be back home finally!
Apologies - it was Deep Sky Stacker that I ran into troubles with. Alignment was fine over 20 shots - but it comes out as an almost black and white shot - all colour information seems to be lost - and the background sky glow starts creeping up!
