Grand Final Day

O boy the nerves are starting to kick in, the BIG game is nearly here , its going to be tough for West Coast but i hope the team can pull it off Although if Sydney wins its one team i would like to see win the flag .I expect to be totally deaf this afternoon , a room full of one-eyed fanatical Italian inlaws is going to make up for not being at the MCG

Yeah and I'm a Richmond supporter.
But Sydney is the next is the next closest thing to a Melbourne side. ( True Aussie Rules side).

Funny, I thought the AFL had only been going since the Swans landed in Sydney. What an insult to all the people in Sydney who have supported the Swans, their swans. As usual the Vics are straight onto the fact that it was a former club, just like they did when Brisbane Lions won those premierships. Can't handle the fact that for 5 years Vic teams have not made the grade.

The sooner it is really the AFL and not a suped up VFL the better. I am glad the Swans won, because it is their 1st AFL cup. Back off Vics, don't forget that you still have your VFL and the AFL belongs to all the new clubs. Every team joined the AFL not the other way around.

How to spoil an exciting game!!

Paul the AFL 'IS' the VFL and that will never change. Take note of how long Carlton, Eddiewood and Essendon state they've been in the AFL. They even take into account the original years when they were in the VFA, before they got the ' ' up and formed the VFL. Though teams from the VFA that joined later cant include the VFA years. The AFL is there to support the league those teams play in. If they didnt cheat, those teams would never have won a Premiership in the last 15 years.
Its good to see those 3 teams I named in their rightful place at the bottom of the ladder.

Back to the topic:
Well done to both teams for putting on a great game . Edge of the seat stuff right at the end.
Congrats to Sydney, The best team on the day.

Wow at last a close exciting AFL grand final , as much as it hurts to admit it Sydney are worthy champs what a amazing end of season for them....man i couldnt hold a drink steady in the last 2 quarters , i wish Dean Cox was in the final pack going for the mark instead of the one kicking it never mind what a great game

Perhaps to achieve that there needs to be another Sydney based club, and maybe another 4 clubs in both SA and WA to get an even distribution of quality players

Geoff I hearterly agree, there should be three teams in each state and one or two in the northern territory. Totally and easily defined as the AFL.

Sounds reasonable
Though a 12 team comp would be better.
3 from WA..3 from SA..1 from Tassie..2 from NSW.. 2 from Qld..oh and yes 1 from Vic.
Dont want the "Kick a Vic" slogan to go to waste

Rofl, why not no teams from Vic then they can have their VFL and stay the hell away from our comp. Much better still.
