Lagoon and Trifid large picture

Here is another large picture of the Lagoon and Trifid nebulae (1.5M).Not happy with it yet as the bright areas are a little washed out.Must learn how to use unsharp masking.Or lower the ISO.

http://users.bigpond.net.au/avandonk/lagtrif03.jpg

This was taken with a Hutech LPR filter. 4x191 sec at ISO of 1600 at F2.8.

Don't know what your complaining about Bert.
I'd be more than happy with an image like that.

Bert

It's really only the centre of the Lagoon that is overexposed. I don't think unsharp masking will help that in this case (you will loose too much of the fainter stuff). You would be better off taking a few frames of short exposures and compositing them into this one.

In any case, it's only a very minor issue with an overall beautiful image. Well Done

Cheers
