13th April Jupiter

Me again,

yes with another Jupiter. For the first time the ambient temp was more than 2 degrees colder than the primary mirror; which was 6 degrees above. So I will have to begin cooling my scope from now on. This means getting up 2 hours before imaging to give the cooler time to do its job.

Seeing was very steady, but the temp difference caused a slightly fuzzy image.

2 images= one without extention tube and one with.

Not as good as your images from recent days but still better than anything I've imaged this year!

What a run you're having Lester, what's that? 4 or 5 days in a row? You must be getting very tired!

Keep them coming, great stuff.

Thanks for your comments Mike.

I nearly didn't post them after the images from the past few days, but then I thought its still better than what I use to get month after month.

I hope to get a few more days before the jetstream and a low pressure system moves in from the west on Wednesday.
