Full moon and VERY quiet Sun

Hi all
last night imaged the full moon, today imaged the Sun
Moon is 7x350thsec ISO 200
Sun is 6x750th sec ISO100 through thousand oaks glass solar filter full aperature.

Both taken with 450D and 10 inch f5.6 newtonian, processed in Iris and Photoshop.

Crop of the sun, full res. showing granulation and nothing else, a very quiet sun.

Fantastic images!! Even though the sun is very quiet, I still love that image. Beautiful colour! The moon shot is outstanding!!! Thanks for sharing.

Did you use any filter on the moon?

Hey Scott,

That full moon is SPECTACULAR! Focus and the amount of detail are awesome!

Well done!

Cheers

Hi Scott,

Really top image of the Moon, love it, sharp as and very nice job with the exposure.

Got some nice granulation in the Sol images, the lack of activity is really underlined by these images.

Well done
Cheers
Trevor
