Another Brute of a storm

Poor USA, this one has more grunt than the last. Central pressure 894Hp and dropping. Cat 5 looks like being the strongest ever recorded. So much for living in the tropics.

I don't know if you guys picked it up or not, to the right of the latest one is another tropical depression which is forming into a tropical storm.

Sounds like Houston is gonna get hammered!

I feel so bad for the Katrina survivors who took refuge in Houston and now are on the run again. They must feel like they have targets painted on their backs.

And I thought they had it bad last year. Looks like its going to be worse this year. Really feel sorry for all the folks that live around the gulf area. The moderator of one of the groups I subscribe to (Yahoo Binocular Astronomy) Barry Simon has his house under water. Hopefully he will not be affected by this one...
