50 years of history in less than 3 minutes!

'We Didn't Start the Fire.' by Billy Joel (great song)

Check this out i would have run out of patience making this

Whether you are a Billy Joel fan or not, you probably remember his great song, 'We Didn't Start the Fire.'

Here it is, set to pictures... Very, very cool. Had to share this one. It's a neat flashback through the past half century.Put on the full screen, Turn up volume, sit back and enjoy a review of 50 years of history in less than 3 minutes! Thanks to Billy Joel and some guy from the University of Chicago with a lot of spare time and GOOGLE.
Top left gives you full screen....top right lets you pause. Bottom left shows the year. The older you are, the more pictures you will recognize. Anyone over age 65 should remember over 90% of what they see. But it's great at any age.

Enjoy

Got through OK, but Telstra's "Turbo Mobile Broadband" takes forever to download it. Wish I had a phone line, dialup would be faster.

Absolutely loved it Jen,

Thanks for posting this trip down memory lane.
The guy that did it sure must have had time on his hands.

Hey Jen,
Thanks for sharing that.

Time on his hands? Yes, and talented.

Billy Joel is one of my favourites, I certainly experienced memory flashbacks from the images and then those clever comments to cover the 'music blanks'. Good stuff.

I saw BJ live when he came to Brisbane with Elton John. BJ clowned around a little saluting EJ in recognition of EJ's Knighthood.

Were you aware that BJ, in his early days considered suicide? His lack of success, regardless of his efforts led him to believe that he would never make it past the "Piano Man" stage.

Fortunately the World didn't miss out. Then again we wouldn't have known.
