Lightbulb GSO SuperView 5mm

GSO have a new superview range out, the 5mm.

Spoke to Mike @ Bintel, and they will be getting some in (I'm not sure of the date, yet).

Reported to have 65deg AFOV, 10mm ER. I've seen it in the US for approx US$40.

Will be interesting to see what they are like.. 10mm is nice ER for a 5mm eyepiece.. just depends what the edge performance is like in a fast scope. They will be mostly unusable in a long focal length scope, I'd imagine. The seeing will just never support using them.

I'm hoping to be able to loan one for review once they are in stock.

Sounds like it will have a built in barlow.
Id be looking at ghosting, reflections and light scattering in evaluating it.
Most likely would be still better off with a good plossl/barlow combo.
