Thumbs up Alternate Universe 2009 now available for free online

Lachlan MacDonald informs us that the 2009 Edition of Alternate Universe
is now available online and can be downloaded for free from -
http://www.asnsw.com/universe/alternate/AU11.pdf

Alternate Universe is the Journal of the Astrological Society of New South Wales
Uncoordinated and should not be confused with Universe, which is the Journal
of the Astronomical Society of New South Wales Incorporated.

We'd like to thank the Editors of Alternate Universe for their splendid efforts.

Best Regards

Alternate reality

Hi All,

Yep I'm a big fan of AU and can't wait in particular to read the Leo Horrorscope to see what April 2009 has in store for me.

Oh and BTW on p9 -- it's not "Donna" but "Donder".

"More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled and shouted, and called them by name; "Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, Donder, and Blitzen!

To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

But then again, I guess that's in our Universe and not the alternate one -- right??

And don't get me started on Cassegrain and Cassegrainian (p9) ...

Seriously though (or perhaps non-seriously) I love AU -- wish I got to help it looks like great fun.

Best,

Les D

Hi Les,

LOL!

As you are probably aware, there is no way one could possibly communicate
that correction back to the authors, as I believe Alternate Universe is delivered
to us through a one-way worm hole that momentarily appears behind one
of the outdoor outhouses at Wiruna once every Earth year

Personally I always assumed the names were "Donner and Blitzen" from the
German for thunder and lightning. A quick Google reveals this article which
attempts to trace the confusing etymology.
http://www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/donner.asp

"Even some of the burnt edges on overdone Pizzas resembled the dark matter
on the edge of 'The Sombrero' "
