Vela nebulae

Here is a region in Vela not commonly imaged. It contains some interesting nebulae -- emission, reflection, dark, dusty. I put a mouse-over map of the nebulae. It may take a minute to load since the files are large.

Very nicely done Tom. I have put up a very widefield of this area to give you inpiration to image more at this scale and quality. Below is a small image of your image superimposed on the mosaic with Registar.

Aren't a couple of those nebulas referred to as the Gum Nebulas?
