28th March Titan transit
Hi all,
I captured 9 avis of this event tonight with conditions varying from 4-6/10.
Used 2x barlow with DFK at 15fps on the 14" LX200.
This image is from avi number 8, and I think it had some of the better seeing conditions.

Well done Lester. I completely forgot it was on last night, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway - it was my wedding anniversary
Great capture.

Well captured Lester,
The seeing certainly was quite variable, glad you got some good data.
This is a nice shot, lots of detail and like the colour.
Cheers Trevor

Thanks Steve, Jen and Trevor for your comments.
Steve, its just a matter of persistence for me. Although once one gets use to their equipment, it makes it easier. Just the atmospherics that can tease a bit.
All the best.

Lovely images Lester! It looks like you guys down south are hogging all the planetary imaging opportunities of late! Oh well, at least I get my much needed beauty sleep! LOL!
Cheers

Nice capture Lester. Did you stick an eyepiece in and enjoy it visually as well or just use the camera and imaging?

Thanks all for your comments.
Andrew, I had a quick view with an eyepiece of about 1 minute, other than that I view it all on the laptop screen, just in case the seeing improves and I can capture it.

Great work Lester. I was thinking that the transit was coming up, but I was a bit preoccupied... Anne-Louise came home yesterday with our new boy... sort of had other priorities

Still trying to get sense out of Registax 5, here is avi 9 from that night, this was the last I captured as the shadow departed.
