Holiday Viewing

Firstly, my apologies, if I have posted this in the wrong forum.

With the advent of the holiday season and some members having the option to take their scopes to different viewing places, apart from their normal habitat, has anyone noticed, for better or worse any difference in viewing.

Unfortunately don't have the option of going on holidays this time of year myself, but would just be interested in the viewing comparison of the same objects.

I'll move this to the Space & Astronomy talk forum, no biggie though..

as for a reply to your question.. i took my binos on holidays with me and got a bit of dark sky viewing, the difference is incredible compared with a suburban backyard view.. but I can't comment on the difference when viewing specific objects through the telescope.. need more time at a dark sky with the 'scope.
