Big flower for a small bush

I've planted three Fairhill Gold Xanthostemon trees down the back and one of the crazy things has a flower half the size of itself. The tree should look good when it matures if it has these things all over it.

Is that the new Mars terraforming plant there?

The Fairhill Gold grows three metres tall Ving. Or so the label says. Could keep it pruned lower no doubt.
