M42 First Light New Scope
Taken last night with my new ed80.
A lazy effort I admit.
Approx 13 minutes of data all up.

Is that imaged with the 20D and unguided Jeanette?
It's a nice wide field of view, looks good.

That's right Robin.
I'll try to put in a better effort tonight, not so much pressure from moonrise as last night.
Thanks Dave.

Looks ok for unguided, you can see the stacking errors on the right. It's pretty close to tracking.
Imagine buying new gear the week before a dark sky night
Then again, guess who has a new camera in the mail

Nice job Jeanette
Colour looks good and very delicate details in the core are comming through. More exposure will only improve it.

The scope arrived last week. Why else do you think Hamish was making his way down the coast.
Looking forward to catching with you on the weekend Robin.

HI JJJ ,
And here I was thinking that you were masking your Gras acquisition!! We must do something with that time.!! From this "snap" I am definitely going to pick your brains on that venture
