Thumbs up What a show!!!

I was too tired to post last night... we got home quite late.

But whoaa!!!!!

I went to see Coldplay at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre last night and what a show!

I've been to many 'gigs' over the years, but in terms of energy, excitement and fun...this one beats the rest hands down.

I'm still buzzing today....

If you get a chance to see them....GO!!!!!

Did they say anything about Joe Satriani (rightfully) suing their arses off?

Humayun

Duncan,

Clearly, if Satch is suing someone, it means he's serious. The guy has enough accolades, fame and money the world over that he's not out to make money through a frivolous, or, flight of fancy lawsuit.

A site Joe has linked to on his page (read mike911's comment for a perfect summary): http://www.musicradar.com/news/guita...lawsuit-185914

The rip off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvB9Pj9Znsw

How sweet is that tone?

I saw Satch as part of the G3 tour in 2007. John Petrucci opened, followed by Steve Vai, and then Joe came on stage. They all then combined at the end for a mega jam. It was probably the greatest show I've ever seen; three virtuosos on stage. Ranks up there with seeing Malmsteen and Dream Theater.

To tie it all back to astronomy, the track, If I Could Fly, is from his 2004 album, Is There Love In Space?

To appreciate the master, here's the complete track, along with some excellent photographs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMcjXo8ZuqE

Regards,
Humayun

This has been going on for a while now. I am a big fan of Joe but also of Cold Play. I cannot see how Joe can win as there are only small parts of the 2 songs that match up. One has lyrics and one is an instrumental and both are in different keys. My 2 cents worth.

Ciao Mark
