Butterfly

Captured this one of a butterfly, just landed on the branch next to me as wasn't too fussed about me being there.

I think it was just happy to enjoy the sunshine.

Cheers

Well done Ric,

Just goes to show, it pays to have your camera at the ready, never know what might come along.

Regards
Trevor

Brilliant.
I agree with Trevor, you've always got to have a camera with you.

Thanks all, it was a large butterfly about a handspan across.

It had been flying around for about a half hour until it stopped so I grabbed my chance.

The camera is always at the ready and most weekends it just sits on the kitchen table just in case.

Cheers

Hi Ric

There is great amount of detail in the picture Ric. The wing span in particular is beautiful and the subject is well centred in the frame.

Cheers Petra d

Thanks all for your kind comments.

The Butterflies are starting to disappear around my way for another season. I'll have to start trying to get pictures of the Black Cockatoos.

cheers
