Zen and the Art of MM-any fans here?

Zen and the Art of Motor Cycle maintenance of course...any fans here? If yes I have just discovered a new book by a guy called Mark Richardson called "Zen and Now" that 40 year on, takes Pirsig's route again while weaving in a personal life history of RMP. Just strated the book and it looks to be an interesting read especially for hardcore fans

If like me you are a fan (I have two copies of Zen and the Art, one dating back to the late seventies and one the 25 anniversary edition which is when I found out Chris had died), and you have been to the moq website and so so, you might find this an interesting read

G'day Narayan,
Thanks for the heads-up. Read Pirsig's book years ago and was fascinated on many levels. Very sorry to hear that he's passed on as he was a great chronicleer of the human condition.
Will check out this new book, although it's hard for me to imagine how it could have the impact that Zen and.... had.
Just curious, what is the "moq website"?
Any chance of a link?
Cheers, Phil.

sorry its not Robert Pirsig who passed away- but his son Chris, who if you recall, was the pillion rider in the book. Chris was senselessly murdered at 23

the moq link is

yes the new book is really homage to the original but fills in all sorts of background detail which may be of interest to fans. Anyway the new book "Zen and Now" refers to photos Pirsig had taken on the original trip so I went searching on the internet and found them

Yes, I was a little confused there. I thought it was Robert, and not Chris who wrote the book. Couldn't remember who Chris was. As I say, it's been some time since I read the book. Maybe it's time I re-read it?
Thanks muchly for the links Narayan.
The moq site does indeed look interesting and I can see that I might spend a bit of time there.
What a terrible and tragic thing to happen to his son!
Again, thanks for the heads-up and links. Much appreciated.
Cheers, Phil.

Thanks for the link Narayan.
It must be close to 30 years since I've read that book. As Phil said it might be time for a re-read.

Cheers
