Andromeda Galaxy
Hello Everyone,
This is an image I took of the andromeda galaxy using a canon 350d dslr attached to a williams optics 66mm refractor, it is a single image, 3 min exposure @800 iso, processing in photoshop using the curves function.
Thanks to brett for encouraging me to put this on the forum.

Darrell, M31 is a whopping great big galaxy... from tip to tip its around 3.5~4x the width of the full moon... 400~550mm with a DSLR sized sensor is required to fit it all in...
Wayne.. Nice shot for a single sub! Next year spend a few hours on it and you'll be amazed how much you can get!

the M90 should do the trick... My old Megrez102 would just about fit it in the frame of a DSLR sized chip...

The only thing wrong with posting this image Mr Wombat is that....it's a bleedin northern hemisphere object
....but we won't beat you too hard
Taking an image and seeing the result is great fun whether it's a marathon multiple night effort or a simple single 3min shot
