My pet Dino's dejected after hearing someone laid a 2kg egg at Easter now he's under the bed sulking.... now that I told him that boys dont lay eggs he jumped right back in the fish tank happy as larry!!!
Judging by their size, I'd say the dino that laid them wouldn't be any larger than a Compy or Coelophysis.... something not much longer than 3 feet, especially that second egg. It may not even be dinosaur...it could be an early monotreme or one of the other egg laying mammals from the Mesozoic. You maybe really lucky and have an early bird egg!!. One way to tell would be to get a cat scan of the egg and see what was inside it, if anything.
Perhaps take them to the local museum? The fact that they have yolk inside implies that they are unlikely to be millions of years old as they would have totally dehydrated in that time. My egg, if I was to open it, would be totally filled with minerals that have leached from the preserving sand inside the shell, you can still see the individual shell pieces on the surface.
