Yep, thick heavy rain clouds. Anyone with a newt up here would have to swim down the tube to check out the primary mirror

Hi Chris just finished up an imaging run for the night. I bagged a faint galaxy and a planetary.

It was a mild 13 degrees here tonight.

Cheers

LOL! Good on you everyone

I've just finished up for the evening. Clouds rolled in 20 minutes ago so I've packed up the scope and moved it all indoors.

I've processed tonights offering - 2.2 hours worth of data on Eta C. It's posted in the deep space section.

Nighty night all.

Clear skies!!

Ok for you people who don't work on the weekends. I finished imaging christmas tree cluster at about 1215am then off to bed as I had to be up at 5:30am for work again. I am here, feeling pretty ordinary and I haven't even had a look at my capture for last night.

yet another freezing night expected tonight, might go out and and get a couple of hours of observing in before the moonrise.

Hi Chris, it was the "Eight Burst PN" NGC3132 in Vela and NGC3109, a very faint galaxy in Hydra.

I was experimenting with the configuration of the DSI II to imaging at f/5.0 intead of f/3.3.

I had mixed results once before due to focussing with the Hartmann mask but this time with the Bahtinov mask it has produced much better results.

Cheers
