NGC 3114 in Carina

Subject: NGC3114 open cluster in Carina
Exposure: 64X15secs@1600 ISO
Lens: 200mm f2.8 Canon @f4
Camera: Canon 350D unmod
Mount: EQ-6 unguided
Date: 06Jan09

The attached images are 1:1 crops from the centre.

For context the third attachment can be used to locate NGC3114 which is the open cluster in the far lower-right corner.

Bill it is hard to get a good image of 3114 because the background is so rich.
I like all 3 images. I think the 2nd shows the cluster best.

I've been enjoying what you've been doing with a bunch of 15 second exposures.

I can't wait to try my own 200 f/2.8L out as well!
