Quit Astronomy - I've turned to weather watching

Well the wet season has well and truly set in here.
My mind is off astronomy and suddenly, my weather station has become the most important piece of equipment in my home.
Yes I have even joined a weather forum (might go chase a few storms !)
http://www.northauschasers.com/

We are up to cyclone advise #3 for the low in the gulf !

Oh well, only a few months till the clouds clear again
Must be time for some telescope maintenance.
(After I do a cyclone clean-up)

I am nssian on the forum.

Hi Ian.

I hope nothing too serious develops up there over the next 36-48 hours.

I spent most of yesterday on the phone talking to various EMQ/State Govrnment spokespeople about the weather situation and the potential for a cyclone to form.

Certainly has been an 'interesting' few months from a weather perspective.

Stay safe

By definition, is this going to the dark side or the wet side ???

Hoping that Feb will have occasional clear skies for Comet Lulin
Weather watching is fun though.

Sounds like a perfectly logical thing to do during the wet.

Have fun, mate! See you when the clouds clear!
