over a sea of fog

Hi,

this is a pic of my observation place, 1600 meters above sea level.
You can see me and the Pentax 75, I`m the ghost .
Leo and Saturn are rising.

Great shot Werner! You're a lucky observer. Looks like a great location for good seeing! How's the light pollution there?

Thank you for your comments!

It can be very cold there, thats true. 5250 feet above sea level.
Light pollution is very low. It is possible to see 7mag stars!

Short time before moon rising:

and here you can see light spots on the fog from the villages under:

Excellent images Werner, I think there is something very special about the image with the village lights under the fog, simply breathtaking.

Thumbs up Beautiful images!

Hi Werner,

Great shots! Since most of the forum members are in Australia rather than Austria,
I must admit I opened the image first before reading your post and my first
thought was that it had been taken at a beach! Then it dawned on me what
I was looking at. The first image is very surreal - a layering effect that gives
it a feel almost like it was composited from several shots. Really nice!

Best regards

Gary
