camera to telescope

Hi All,

Is there a way of mounting the Olympus E410 to a telescope and which telescope would be best for ground based objects as well as sky based?

yes can mount the e-410 to a telescope, you will need a olympus specific t-ring (for 4/3 - though I have a 4/3-om converter & om t ring). Depends on scope you may need extra adapter(screw scope to t ring). I have a Cassegrain scope so it is a screw thread. A refractor could have a different piece.

I will leave the which scope question. On second thoughts a small refractor for ground based - not too heavy, mount on sturdy (read good brand) tripod. ed80 maybe. What percent ground based/sky do you want - if more ground may be better with read good quality telephoto (olympus make some great 200-300mm zooms) they are smaller & much easier to handle - the AF will also be a huge advantage in my book.

What type of ground based - i think for wildlife as eg. telescope not impractical IMO.
