It's almost 2pm here and it's minus 3 and cloudy outside.
Forecast for tonight is minus 5 (and clouds of course).

Can't wait to get home again!

It's the winds and humidity that worry me Craig. North westerly wind and low humidity can combine for a bad day fire wise.

As I always say, it's just another day until the pager goes off.

Bored kiddies are a pain for sure but you would be amazed how many people still lob their smoke butts out the car window.

Hi Craig, I was down your way just the other day. Right out in the middle of the farmland nearer to Naranderra. Spectacular viewing to be had there too. Had both scopes. I wish I could get there easier/quicker than a 4 to 5 hour drive.

^^^ cool. How often does it get that hot there? We're not having anything that could be passed off as a summer down here in our fine antarctic territory of Victoria.

My pool and beer are not getting used

This cold snap is still going. It's midday and -4 outside with a light breeze.
I heard a rumour that the city has run out of salt for the roads. Wouldn't surprise me if it's true.

We need some global warming urgently!

^^ doesn't feel any warmer here mate

pass us your salt, and will the real global warming please stand up!

bleh, bring on next summa..........might actually be warm enuff to use the pool.......with luck.

One positive about this pathetic cold...... I get to enjoy hot chocolate and coffee during my observing sessions But then again, lazing in the pool and drinking beer all day is just as fantastic.
