Brisbane Storm.

D200 18-70mm lens,
5sec ISO200 F/8

Unfortunately this massive bolt heavily saturated camera, however photoshop did an alright job of bringing it back.. Should have been at F/11~F/16 but hey.. hindsight is 20/20.

Thanks for looking.
Alex.

Awesome shot Alex. I love these type of images.

Seems like you guys up north are getting hit by some pretty big storms at the moment.

Beautiful Alex. You've got the skill and a great spot from that hill.

I tried for my first lightning shot tonight 10mins before it rolled over us, but learned the hard way to pay more attention to focus. Certainly no awesome bolts like that - just illuminated clouds.

Keep 'em coming!

Fantastic shot. Looks like you captured the Shelf cloud as well as the lightning. I usually do my lightning images at f11 when the storm is close and down to f8 when it has mooved away. I also usually shoot at about 15-20 seconds. Close bolts scare the SH!# out of you with the BANG!
Well Done
Andrew
