New comet for Jan

A return of a comet C/2003 K2 Christensen, now C/2008 X4 Christensen will be visible low in the west in Dec, before reappearing after perihelion in Jan. Currently mag 10 it is expected to brighten to mag 9 for a brief period before quickly dipping to mag 12 by the end of Jan.

SkyMap tells me it will be within the handle of Sagittarius at the moment, and it will rise in the pre-dawn sky in Jan not far from N3 Lulin!
