Questar 3.5" Duplex in case full equipment +Distance microscope barrel

I have just joined this forum, and as I now need to move from photography to looking at things, my Questar equipment needs to be changed for something like a Meade LX90ACF + various extras, which gives an indication of what I need to get for it!. I have had this system since new, and it includes the adaptor barrels for various cameras, and all original equipment such as tripod, solar filter, twin eyepieces, the distance microscope barrel and its special case, all the rest held in the compact original Questar travel case.

Its years since I was involved in astronomy (a vist last month to the Keck fired all this new motivation up), so I am at a loss how best to proceed other than by hosting this on this highly regarded site!

I travel to Uk and US frequently, next time in early january 2009, so there would be little problem getting it there if need be.

Id welcome calls on SKYPE mrwigan , or via email via this site for seriously interested parties.

Hello, Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a Questar 3.5" Duplex ?

Is it a telescope ? or microscope ? or photography equipment ?

Maybe a few photos would help if you have some.

Thx.

Cheers.

It's a bit like asking "What is a Faberge egg?". If you need to ask - you don't need it

Questars are connoisseur grade small telescopes, that for their aperture, excel. Build quality is top notch.

Regards,
Rob

One of these http://www.company7.com/questar/telescopes/quedupl.html

Seen these things on Ebay and they are priced way more expensively than much bigger and better Taks and Fluorite APOs.

Maybe you should post an ONO price.

What year of manufacture

... and some photos of the complete kit on offer ?

Ian, if you are keen on solar-eclipse chasing, these are the ultimate item of carry-on baggage.
