Brisbane thunderstorm 20Nov08

Hi all,

We've just had ANOTHER band of storms roll through Brisbane, and I decided to have a go at capturing some lightning (after seeing what others have posted recently). I took a series of about 20 shots, and have posted the best 2 here. Happy enough for a first attempt!

Cheers,
Stephen

Great photos Stephen, very wild and wooly compared to the flame tree.

Stephen,

Both images are splendid. I really like the first one; it's elegant in its simplicity.

Would you mind posting the image data?

Regards,
Humayun

Both were taken with a Pentax K100D with lens at 43 and 36 mm respectively, both at f/6.7 and 200 iso. Exposure times were 2.3 and 2.1 sec (using cable release and B setting).

Cheers,
Stephen
