trade 80mm ED Orion

I have a 80mm ED F/7.5 Orion with Orion case. Very nice Refractor. Looking for Cannon SLR that will take IR photos. I have a 30D but it is not suited for IR photo. So the camera must not have the IR filter in it.

Phil you have lost me here. your camera wont be suited for the IR images you are seeking due to the fact that the original filter in front of the sensor has to be replaced and/or removed to get the results you are seeking.

The fitler in my 30D will not let the IR in. So i am after another camera with the filter in front of the chip taken out so the IR is let in to the chip. I wont to do some IR photo shot of the clouds and stuff like that.

Ok, Phil, I must have read that wrong, well, it all depends on how game you are, and just remove the filter your self.

It really isn't that hard, but remember if you remove this front filter and don't replace it with some thing of the same thickness as the one you removed, you will lose all auto focusing functions.

This is why some people who wish to do what you are planing replace the filter with a clear one, which enables you to still have the auto functions and IR as well.
