My answer to light pollution.

Here's an interesting shot I'd like to share.
I took this years ago.

Made up a little sound switch to trigger the external flash.
Set up the old Minolta with 50mm @f/1.4 lens and set it to BULB.
Switched off the lights and clicked on the camera shutter.
Dropped the globe and the smash triggered the flash.

One single shot, first try.

That's very cool. Considering that I'm going make my own remote release (Canon one is a rip off), it would be very easy to interface triggers other than a button press. Thanks for the idea.

Hey MiG, are you going to use it on a 300D?
If so have a look at http://www.dslrfocus.com/help/eoscable.htm
for the schematic, to get some ideas.

I've built this and it works beautifully
