Berliner Dom (HDR)

Hi all,

Well, the first image is HDR, anyway.

This is the Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral) which is situated on Museuminsel (Museum Island).

Comments and critique, welcome.

Regards,
Humayun

Very nice!

I particularly like the second one. The shiny bronze lightning ball contrasted
against that nearly monochromatic drabness that Berlin mostly is.

Keep them coming!

Gary,

I didn't find Berlin drab, to be honest. I actually loved it -- the mixture of old and new provides for a great contrast. I reckon every city should be like that.

I went back to that church the following day with my tripod. I had set up in the gallery on the second level in an area where I thought I wouldn't be seen, to try and take some indoor HDR shots. A security guard saw me set my camera up on the tripod and proceeded to turf me out -- he thought I was a professional photographer! Apparently, commercial photography isn't allowed in there. I wasn't about to start explaining to the German security guard that I wasn't a professional taking photographs to make money, but, a humble amateur trying to take home memories!

Thanks, mate. More to come, shortly.

Tony,

I reckon the ghosted people make it a more memorable image. People ask, "how did you do that?" I enjoy explaining HDR.

Thanks!

Humayun
