Sunset at Long Jetty

First time I've had a chance to do some photography for a while..

Took the family out for dinner on Saturday night and ended up on the edge of the lake at Long Jetty.. No pelicans, Tony would be proud of me

Canon 350D + 17-70 sigma. Wind was blowing a gale unfortunately - was hoping for a smooth mirror like water surface but no chance of that.

Have some others from a bit later on coming soon too.

Didn't spend much time in post-processing - a bit of horizon straightening, saturation boost and resize/sharpen for web.

A beautiful series Mike. Looks like a great spot.

I love the second one with the seagulls along the rail and the defocussed background and the sunsets with orb in sky are fantastic

Great shots Mike. Is that halo around the Sun an artifact from compression?

Numbers 4 and 5 float my boat Mike, especially #4, the seagull seems to just add something to it.
