Bugs and Beardy

Hi all,

I came across this interesting-looking bug in the garden this morning and thought it was worth a shot. The second one is a ladybird sitting on a sunflower, still wet from the morning fog.

There's also a bearded dragon in breeding colours, taken last weekend.

All taken using Pentax K100D and 70-300mm telephoto/macro lens.

Cheers,
Stephen

Stephen, Very nice shot of the water dragon, Their breeding colors are very very photogenic.. There are quite a lot of them, that are very friendly on the eastern side of the story bridge near kangaroo point.. I got some fantastic closeups down there..

Well shot, and good subjects!

Thanks for the comments.

As I was shutting down the computer after posting these, I realised that I'd incorrectly called the dragon a beardy rather than a water dragon, but I figured someone else would correct it!

Thanks and cheers,
Stephen

Great bug shot! Imagine that one at human size... brrr!

Love the lady beetle too, great colour contrast - you can even see some moisture beading on its back

Wow these are beautiful shots Stephen.
I really like the lady bug in particular, like Robert said, it has great colour contrast.

Thanks Robert and Andrew. I was quite happy to capture the dew droplets on the ladybird's back!

Cheers,
Stephen
