Who is listening to Pink Floyd tonight?
Given Rick Wright died yesterday, who is listening to Pick Floyd tonight and what album?
I have Dark Side on ATM...

Might pop 'Momentary Lapse of Reason' a little later tonight...after I've wound down a little.

As I type Meddle is playing in the background and then after a few reds I'll probably play Umma Gumma.
Timeless music, that's for sure.

Been through all of 'Obscured by Clouds' and parts of 'Ummagumma'. Following that is some of 'More' and then all of 'Atom Heart Mother'. I'm saving 'Meddle' and 'Wish You Were Here' for later. Doubt I'll bother about "Dark Side" - not their best stuff.

Wish You Were Here on now. Might follow on with Atom Heart Mother.
I'll have to get Umma Gumma on CD... I used to have it on tape...

The album is Meddle!!! The track that fills the second side is Echos!!!!! Shees I mean, not knowing how to set up a mount is forgivable, not knowing you Floyd is quite different.

Yeah... well... uh...
I have a copy of the Echoes album sitting in front of me. It's a 2 CD compilation of "best of" tracks...
Disc 1:
Astronomy Domine
See Emily Play
The Happiest Days of Our Lives
Another Brick in the Wall (part 2)
Echoes
Hey You
Marooned
The Great Gig in the Sky
Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
Money
Keep Talking
Sheep
Sorrow
Disc 2:
Shine on You Crazy Diamond (parts 1-7)
Time
The Fletcher Memorial Home
Comfortably Numb
When the Tigers Broke Free
One of these Days
Us and Them
Learning to Fly
Arnold Lane
Wish You Were Here
Jugband Blues
High Hopes
Bike
You are of course completely correct about the Echoes track on Meddle...
I'll back you up Jen!

Yes, I was about to say the same.............
But I must say I prefer the original albums. Sounds strange to hear the tracks disconnected from their familiar neighbours!
Listening? I think I'll watch - spin the P.U.L.S.E. DVD later this evening! Sure - no Roger - but I don't mind.

Watching and listening
Hi All,
I've just finished watching Live at Pompei -- containing a great (though slightly truncated) live version of Echoes.
Just about to listen to Wish You Were Here and then Dark Side ... in the dark.
Best,
Les D

Funny how you can read what you expect to see rather than what is written. I've know people to call the album Echos before and so instead of reading 'best of album playing Echos' I saw 'best album playing Echos'. Mea culpa.
However I don't think I need to scrub up on my Floyd too much. I know which one's pink . But I'm not saying .

Last night, Obscured By Clouds
Over lunch yesterday at the shopping centre, Greg and I were imitating noises from " Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict".
Funny how we had no people sitting at tables near us. I don't understand why?

One of my friends had a quadraphonic setup in her lounge room. I remember late one evening, after a few, listening to Led Zepplins "Whole Lotta Love", it made the room spin so fast that I had to go lie down.
