Magpie in Flight

I'd have to say this my best Bird in Flight image so far. I wish I had a longer lens for this one but I'm happy with the results.

Canon 450D with 18-55mm lens @ 55mm.

Enjoy.

Nice pair of shots Matty! very sharp, and at only 55mm! well done mate!

As a stop-gap, go to cash converters or some place similar, and get a canon EF-S 90-300... they aren't lightning fast, or the best optically, but you may be able to snag yourself 300mm focal length for $50 - $100...

Thanks Alex,

That is actually a very good idea but I'm wanting to get a Canon 70-200mm F/4L as I know they are great performers.

Nice captures Matty, very sharp and detailed.

It looks like another poor person is about to be dive bombed.

Hi Matty, great shots, especially the first one. Nice composition, brings your eyes to the bird lauching itself out there and with a great sky. Well done
