NGC 6334 and 261 + friends

We have had two more clear nights so I collected some colour data and re- shot the Ha on the Cats Paw as my earlier Ha shots were not properly focused. A lot of blue noise on the paw as well and bad framing on the green meant I lost a really pretty feature but at least there is some colour.

HaRGB 45,20,15,20. 1min subs, no guiding. Stacked in Maxim DL. Rendered and merged in Photoshop.

NGC 261, 249 and 267 in the SMC were more difficult than I expected. The Ha just didn't hold up against the dense star background.

HaRGB 60,25,25,25. 1min. subs, no guiding. Stacked in Maxim and processed in PS.

Yeh..not bad Matt. The NGC 261 is a very interesting image actually, the stars "look like stars" and the nebulosity is hovering amongst them - nice.

The more you image the better the images become (how profound of me )

Thanks Mike. I still have some focusing issues, (amongst many others), so things get a bit blotchy but I plan to spend some time on the SMC. Lots of interesting small nebulae as you pointed out.
