2.6 day old moon

Here is an AFOCAL attempt at getting a very New Moon only 2.6 days old.

I over exposed it unintentionally in a mad rush to capture it before it set behind my house.

Next time I will take more notice of the exposure settings..

My thoughts exactly GTB. Good one, and he said he's thinking about getting a Dob!!!!!!!

PS I hope you don't mind Geoff but I think this is how it should look like through a Dob????

Thanks everyone, Its encouraging to get some nice comments.
My aim is to get some of an even younger moon, and some of the old Moon when its nearing New again.

Cheers.

I like the superimposed images of Mercury Venus there Rick.

I would do something about that internal reflection from the " DOB " though, it looks like a ring around the image.

Geoffro.

Nothin' wrong with the Dob Geoffro it is probably a 'saturnian ring'.
They almost look that big through a Dob.
Cheers
